Lucia Capacchione is a local Cambria artist, author, art therapist.
Lucia Capacchione, founder of The Painted Lily, studied with famed graphic designer, Sister Mary Corita, and worked for world-renowned designer, Charles Eames. Her recently republished popular cards and poetry posters from the 60s and 70s (under the name Lucia Pearce) are for sale. Lucia's newer work, Asian-inspired calligraphy paintings, pastels and mixed media of nature, photos and photo collages are also on display. Her new jewelry line, WeartArt by Lucia, features semi-precious stone beads with healing properties, pendants and elements from tribal adornments.
An avid collector of antique and vintage kimono and haori jackets from Japan, Lucia is now offering these rare pieces of wearable art. The hand-made all-silk jackets can be displayed or worn and are the perfect complement to her jewelry. Embellished and hand-made hats, scarves, bags and other accessories are also available.
